Processed / Coated Calcite Powder
Our coated calcite (Natural calcium carbonate) has a stearic acid coating that makes the hydrophobic surface of the calcium carbonate less hydrophobic. This coating on calcium carbonate improves dispersion of the its particles into the polymer melt.
Properties of coated calcite powder are:
• CaCO3: 95% min, SiO2:- 1.5% max. MgO 1.5% max.
• Colour: Super snow white free from dirt and black grit.
• Bulk density: 0.8 to 1.2 gms/c.c. Depending upon the particle size.
• Oil Absorption:- 18 to 20 gms/100 depending upon particle size.
• Surface treatment: Steric Acid, Calcium Sterate, Titanate and Dyna Silane (any other treatment) require by the customer. Percentage of coating can be increased or decreased as per customer specification. Generally we provide 1% of coating.
